JEN LEWIN

Jen Lewin is an internationally renowned light and interactive sculptor based out of New York City. Over the last 15 years, Lewin has honed her highly technical medium to fabricate large-scale interactive sculptures that combine light, sound, and motion to encourage community interaction. From responsive sound and light forms that incorporate dance, to woven video curtains that reflect movement, to giant robotic moths that flutter in response to human touch, Lewin’s use of technology as a medium challenges popular conceptions of new media works and their limitations. Focusing on pieces made for public use, she thinks beyond a traditional art exhibition to create an experience that brings vibrancy to neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces

Beyond her artwork, Jen conceived of the interior design and branding for The Kitchen, [The Upstairs], and [The Next Door] restaurants in Boulder, Colorado.  Jen is Managing Owner of The Studio (Boulder), and is personally responsible for the interior design, branding, and much of the handmade lighting and artwork.

WILLIAM GOODRICH

William is a creative technologist with a varied engineering and business background. He loves getting his hands dirty with computer hardware, embedded systems, and Internet of Things (IoT) platforms and drawing data from those devices in unique and creative ways. With sensor-driven data he's given life to interactive public art, developed electronics products, and uncovered patterns in consumer behavior and energy usage. William is constantly thinking about ways in which we can instrument the physical world to capture data that, rather than adding useless noise to our lives, actually impactfully enhances our experiences.

William managed the build out of The Studio (Boulder) and currently directs operations for the business.  Most recently, he’s partnered with his friend and colleague Jamie Wirkler to start Dispersion, a design and engineering consultancy dedicated to integrating responsive and dynamic LED illumination into art, architecture, and everyday objects.
