1. Guest Count and Layout Needs

Know your headcount range (not just the ideal number) and how you want the room set up. A venue that fits 200 people theater-style might only hold 120 for a seated dinner. Ask venues for capacity numbers by layout type.

2. Vendor Flexibility

Some venues require you to use their in-house caterer or approved vendor list. Others let you bring anyone. If you have a caterer or bartender you love, confirm vendor flexibility before falling in love with a space.

3. AV and Tech Infrastructure
